SMS
The 2mee platform can send Hologram SMS messages and also standard SMS messages. This documentation will guide you on how to configure SMS messaging, create a Hologram or Text SMS and view your SMS reports.

Configuring SMS

2mee SMS allows you to create and send Hologram or text SMS easily to your users. To send SMS from 2mee, you will need:
  1. 1.
An account with Twilio (SMS platform)
  2. 2.
    Twilio SID and Auth Token

From Number

Your 'from number' is your default number from within your Twilio account.
You can acquire 'From' phone numbers on Twilio or use your own phone numbers (but if using your own number you can only send SMS within your country).

To/Audience Numbers

Twilio and 2mee require all user phone numbers to be in the E.164 format. Please make sure your number follows this format or messages will not be delivered correctly.
If you are using a Trial account please make sure numbers are registered within Twilio before trying to send an SMS

SMS Platform Configuration

Choosing Your Platform

To create a project on the 2mee platform start by logging in to your account on the 2mee messaging platform. Once you are logged in you will need to click the ‘Create Project’ button to start creating a project.
You will then be asked to add a name and description to your project, please add both of these then choose SMS as the platform you want to configure.
If you already have a project configured that you want to add SMS to, navigate to the settings section and choose the SMS channel from the list of platforms.

Twilio account Setup

Enter the Twilio Account SID and Auth Token to allow 2mee to send SMS.
The Twilio account SID and Twilio Auth Token can be gathered from your Twilio dashboard.

Add Default Phone Number

When adding a default phone number you must ensure this is a verified default phone number in your Twilio account. To find your Default phone numbers in Twilio navigate to the 'Phone Numbers' section then 'Active Numbers', here you will see all of your default phone numbers listed.
When sending an SMS you can also choose a different 'From' phone number in the message details section if you prefer to not use the default From Number.
To send a message internationally you must ensure you have enabled all geo-locations for your default number in Twilio

Send test SMS

You will now be required to send a test SMS to a valid phone number. This allows 2mee to check that the configuration of your Twilio account with 2mee is correct.
Add a valid phone number then click the send test SMS button
You should then receive the test SMS from 2mee and your account will be configured.

You can change the Hologram associated with the capsule at any point, to do this see our Holocapsule documentation.
Once you have chosen your capsule you need to add users that the SMS will be sent to. There are two methods of adding users, below is some information on each of these

Name - The name of the user
UserID - An identifier given to distinguish users
CampaignID - An identifier used to link users to campaigns

You will also need to add who the message is coming from, this will be shown on the end users SMS.
